This past weekend I traveled back to a small desert town in New Mexico to celebrate my Great Grandma's life. She passed away in her sleep surrounded with her closest family. She was 100 years old and one amazing lady. It was my first time flying back by myself in a really long time. It was actually the first time I was without Brian and Audrey for more than a day. I had some time on the plane to look back and reflect on memories with my Great Grandma. All the summers I spent and all the fun I had with my aunts, uncles, and cousins. There are such good memories back in that small town and even some days I secretly wished I lived there.
My cousins and I were talking that we would always meet at Grandma's place for events and holidays. We all vowed to still meet up... just need to find a new meeting spot. We all want to create good memories and create traditions for our children. I always want Audrey to have a place she can call home. I took a few pictures around my Grandma's home... I knew it was probably the last time I would be there. She created such a happy home and we all plan to do the same.
More on our visits...
deepest condolences to you and your family...
